The big question: Is the Easter Bunny male or female?

easter bunnies sitting in bed

There are lots of myths about the origins of the fluffy delivery hero with the religious background. But while many questions about the Easter Bunny’s roots have been answered, the question of its gender has not. So although our tools don’t distinguish between boys and girls, we’re using the holiday to investigate the question of the Easter Bunny’s gender.

The work ethic definitely seems masculine. Our hero leaves the hard work of staying at home and laying and hatching eggs to the chickens, then claims all the success afterwards. If anything goes wrong, it’s not its problem.

Then again, the urge to decorate eggs with friendly colours and patterns and elaborate packaging suggests the Easter Bunny might be a doe, not a buck.

The fact that men hate using shopping baskets also indicates that our fluffy friend might be female. After all, a pretty Easter Basket and a nice Easter Nest are two must-haves for every lady bunny rabbit.

The care the Easter Bunny takes in hiding the eggs and the decades of continuous work also suggest the Easter Bunny is female. It’s common knowledge that hormones encourage the does, not the bucks, to look after the kids. And the ability to remember holiday dates definitely indicates that the Easter Bunny isn’t male!

So all things considered, the Easter Bunny could well be a doe rabbit, not a buck. We still can’t know for certain though, which is fine because our tools are gender-neutral, appeal to boys and girls alike and work wherever you need to use them.

If you want to give the Easter Bunny a hand (or paw) with the presents, we know a good way to make yourself and your partner happy. From a blender for carrot smoothies (powerfood!) to a hairdryer with bult-in argan oil hair care, we have something for every gender.

We’ve hidden some extra love in every detail of the tools in our CARRERA Shop. Enjoy your hunt!
